Focusing on global business growth, China Rilin Construction Group owns and operates several facilities in the construction, maritime, and trade industries. Among its leading properties is the Dandong Port, which China Rilin Construction Group uses to facilitate the transport of bulk cargo. U.S. Rilin and West Legend Corporation are both affiliates of the Rilin Group.
Located in Liaoning province, the Dandong Port is northeast China’s import and export gateway to Russia, Japan, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The international trade harbor has seen significant growth over the past couple of years. In early 2013, it was reported that more than 96 million metric tons of cargo made its way through the port in 2012, which was an increase of over 25% from the previous year. By November of 2013, the port achieved a new record of 100 million tons of cargo, making it the third largest port in the province.
Following the significant growth of activity, the Dandong Port partnered with the China Grain Reserves Corporation and COFCO Group, a supplier of agricultural and food products and services. The relationship will be used to build a modern grain transshipment base.
